2011 - This is going to an AMAZING year!!!
2011 has dawned and I guess we are all back into our daily routines by this week. I hope everyone had a wonderful Festive Season and a profitable December :0)
We are H.U.G.E.L.Y excited about the year ahead and have started our year on a VERY high note with the birth of Marie's 1st Grandchild!!!!! Leigh gave birth to Emily-Mari on Friday 14 Jan and she is beautiful!!
Our Doodles Studio is a hive of activity with a number of projects all going at the same time. We have started off with soooo many orders (SOooo grateful - thank you!!!) and in the meantime we are brainstorming to get all the new ideas off the drawing board and into manufacturing mode. Not an easy task while we are gushing over baby Emily's pics... The butteflies are fluttering all over the studio and we can't wait to show you the new range!!

Part of the Doodles Gang went out on Saturday to visit one of our stockist CARAMEL & Co in Claremont (Palmyra Junction) -see pics. Well done Gerda! We were blown away by the beautiful display and all the unique products that you've managed to source. There were so many things that we could've bought and we are extremely happy to report the prices are very yummie too :0)
VENUE: Weddings etc : In the Vineyard R44 between Somerset West & Stellenbosch
This is a b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l setting conveniently situated on our doorstep. An amazing "canvas" of gray's and clay's to turn this very spacious room into ANY theme you can dream of. The Coffee shop has THE yummiest Whispers Chocolate Cake - a MUST taste experience!!
We have been invited to teach a workshop at Scrap-a-Doodles (Centurion) in March this year! Yippee!! Thanks Liezel & Jani, we can't wait to come and see your new shop!! The Theme is Blessings BEYOND Measure and EVERYONE needs to have this "artwork" to be more aware of just HOW blessed we all are!

Our NEW Wall Quote for the month is : "Success is in your feet, you have to keep walking until you find it"
This quote comes from Mama Lumka who started an Orphanage in Nomzamo by collecting disabled children from their homes in a wheelbarrow!! She is now part of a wonderful haven that has been built and is run in association with a very inspiring man and sweet friend called Chris Wilmot. Doodles will be donating a percentage of the sales from this quote to Mama Lumka's Home.
LEIGH'S CLIENTS : Leigh will be unavailable for a short while - please call us should you need any assitance with re-ordering. Emily is going to be an exceptionally good baby and Leigh will be back shortly. In the meantime we are available on 021 852 0457 (office hours)
